People in this area have reported illness. That is recorded here as a fact about what has been reported. It is not treated as evidence of cause, and it is not dismissed either.
The chain
What would have to be demonstrated
Every link below must be established for an environmental cause of illness to be shown. A break at any point defeats the chain, and at present several links are entirely unexamined here.

A substance capable of causing harm, present in a definable place.

That substance leaving containment into soil, water or air.

Transport pathway
A physical route — fracture, mine water, groundwater, ventilation, surface drainage.

The medium in which the substance is actually present at a measurable concentration.

Human or animal exposure
Contact through drinking, inhalation, skin contact or the food chain.

Dose
How much, how often, over how long — the step most often missing from public debate.

Health outcome
An effect consistent with the substance, the dose and the timing.
Note where this project currently stands: no environmental release has been demonstrated, no pathway confirmed, no concentration measured and no dose estimated. Steps one to six are unestablished. That is precisely why the environmental investigation must come first.

The health chronology system
Health information submitted through the observation survey is treated as special category personal data. It is never published, never mapped at individual level, and never shared without explicit consent.
What is recorded
- Symptoms as described by the person
- Onset date and duration
- General location (never published)
- Water source used for drinking and washing
- Environmental observations around the same period
- Whether medical attendance was sought
- Whether animals in the household were affected
- Whether others in the household were affected
What can later be compared
Once environmental data exists, an anonymised analysis can ask whether reported health events show any relationship to environmental sampling dates, reported operational events, water changes or odour observations.
Only aggregate outputs would ever be published, and only where cell sizes are large enough that no individual could be identified.
Pattern detection is not proof of causation, but repeated spatial and temporal patterns may identify where formal epidemiological or toxicological investigation is warranted.

Reports of illness among people in the locality form part of the material supplied to this project. That these reports exist is a fact; their cause is not addressed.
Any exposure
No environmental exposure of any person to any substance has been demonstrated. No measurement of any medium has been made.
Any causal link
No link between any reported illness and any activity or environmental condition has been established, and none is claimed anywhere on this site.
