Public interest investigation
If you live, work, walk, keep animals, draw water or hope to raise your family around Troon and Carwynnen, within roughly 1 mile of this site, please take a few minutes to share what you have experienced.
Explosives and munitions testing has taken place within this historic mining landscape over the past decade, potentially less than half a mile from some homes, water sources and public routes. An independent investigation is now needed to establish whether repeated underground activity may have interacted with old mine workings, geological fractures or groundwater pathways, and whether any resulting effects could extend beyond the site boundary.
This matters because unexplained vibration, noise, changes in water, ground movement, unusual odours, animal health concerns and patterns of illness can affect how safe people feel in their homes, how land and water are used, and potentially how properties are insured, valued or sold.
Your observation, even if you have noticed nothing unusual, could help experts understand what is happening, protect families and wildlife, and ensure that any risks are properly investigated rather than ignored.
