Structured observations are the backbone of this investigation. Recording that you have seen nothing unusual is as valuable as recording that you have.
Method
Why the form is structured this way
Each field exists because a regulator, engineer or laboratory would ask for it. Time and wind direction matter for odour events. Supply type matters for water. Sequence matters for vibration. Precise location matters for everything.
Observations recorded this way can be aggregated, mapped and tested for pattern. Observations recorded loosely cannot, however sincerely they are given.
